Location  New Jersey

Color Palette

The goal for this project was to create a user-friendly website that showcased the brand’s unique offerings, told the story behind each creation, and facilitated easy order requests for custom cakes and sweets.

I worked closely with Corina and Gloria to understand the essence of their journey and the passion behind each creation. I developed a visually appealing and intuitive website that highlighted the brand’s commitment to quality and love for tradition. I integrated functionalities for users to explore products, learn about the ordering process, and connect with the brand on various platforms.

Victim Counselor 40-Hour Training

Alternatives to Domestic Violence (ADV) has been a beacon of hope since 1978, offering comprehensive services to individuals and families involved in abusive relationships. Their services range from a 24-hour hotline, crisis intervention, counseling, to legal/victim advocacy and assistance.

Location  Bergen County, New Jersey

Color Palette

This project involved creating a 40-Hour Victim Counselor training program aimed at enhancing the division’s capability to support victims of domestic violence more effectively. As the lead instructional designer, I was responsible for developing a comprehensive training curriculum focused on equipping counselors with the necessary skills and knowledge to support victims of domestic violence. The training included modules on crisis intervention, legal advocacy, and counseling, ensuring a holistic approach to victim support.

The goals for this training were to empower counselors with the knowledge and skills needed to support victims of domestic violence effectively and to enhance the quality and range of services provided by ADV to individuals and families affected by domestic violence.

The training was designed to be interactive and engaging, utilizing a mix of lectures, discussions, case studies, and role plays to ensure a thorough understanding of the subject matter. Special emphasis was placed on practical skills development, enabling counselors to apply learned concepts directly to real-life situations.

The Plant Church

The Plant Church is deeply rooted in serving its community, with offerings such as worship gatherings, kids' ministries, youth mentorship, and various group activities. Their mission is "to know Christ and make Him known."

Location  New Jersey

Color Palette

The primary goal was to develop a cohesive brand kit that reflected the church’s values, mission, and vibrant community spirit, ensuring consistency across various platforms and mediums.

I worked closely with The Plant Church to understand their vision, values, and community dynamics. After extensive collaboration and emerging myself in the church community, I developed a brand kit that included color palettes, typography, iconography, and other visual elements that resonated with the church’s ethos and appeal to its diverse congregation.

The brand kit has enabled The Plant Church to present a unified and appealing visual identity across their website, social media accounts, business writings, marketing materials, and other communication mediums. It has helped in reinforcing the church’s presence and mission, allowing them to connect more effectively with their congregation and community.

Alternatives to Domestic Violence

Established as a division of Bergen County's Department of Human Services, Alternatives to Domestic Violence (ADV) is a cornerstone institution committed to assisting victims of domestic violence.

Their holistic approach not only provides immediate safety but also works towards empowerment, offering victims a pathway to independence and healing. In collaboration with the ADV team, I had the privilege to design a series of print materials aimed at raising awareness and providing crucial information to those in need.

Flyers: One of the key pieces I designed was an informational flyer detailing the different forms of domestic violence and providing a 24-hour crisis hotline for immediate assistance. The flyer was not just about information but aimed to be a beacon of hope, assuring victims that they are not alone, and help is available.

Brochures: Delving deeper into the services and programs offered by ADV, the brochures I created serve as bilingual comprehensive guides for victims and community members alike. They highlight the multifaceted support provided by ADV, from counseling services to legal assistance and community education.

Stickers: To promote visibility and constant outreach, I designed stickers with the ADV branding and hotline number. These stickers are distributed as community outreach events and provided to community centers, subtly reaching out to those who might be in need.

By synergizing with the dedicated team at ADV, our goal was to ensure that every piece of print material not only conveys vital information but also encapsulates the essence of hope, support, and empowerment that Alternatives to Domestic Violence stands for.
